Electric Motor MaintenanceScale models can be powered by motors, as can “multi engine” models and ducted fan models. You can climb to an altitude several times on a single battery charge. With an electric-powered glider, on a single battery charge, flights of 30 minutes are not unusua Motors vary in size and the number of battery cells needed to power them. For more detailed help on selecting the correct propeller for your motor, see the directions that come with the engine, and visit my propeller page. The maintenance for rc airplane electric motors really only requires you to keep them in a cool dry place, and don’t keep the motor throttle at “full” for long periods of time, or the engine will overheat. You do need to take care of the batteries that power the motor though. Check out my battery care page for more information. Related Websites:
